Information That the IPhone 8 Could Be Red Leaked by Supplier
The Japanese blog indicated that its source of information was a supplier based in Taiwan. The blog went on to say that the next iPhone was not the iPhone 8 but iterations of iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7. Rival Apple news sites added to the confusion by saying there would be three iPhones released in the coming year. This would be the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 8.
Rumors on how the next iPhone will look like have been increasing by the day as the iconic smartphone nears its tenth year of existence. Among the unconfirmed rumors, besides that the iPhone 8 could be red in color, is the fact that the iPhone 8 would no longer be having the Home button but the functionality would instead be placed at the rear of the phone or under the screen. There have also been other rumors suggesting that the next iPhone, or at least one of the versions, would have an OLED display. Other features that have been speculated about include capabilities for wireless charging.
Adding strength to the rumors is the fact that for a long time now, Apple has been relying on incremental changes to the iPhone and it now needs to do something revolutionary in order to enjoy sales figures that would rival those of the first few generations of the iPhone. this will require doing more than offering more colors, like the rumors that the iPhone 8 could be red suggest.
